The Faunus Rights Revolution sent Tauriel's father into hiding and displaced her and her mother, this horrific series of events dominate Tauriel's earliest memories and deepest rest.
The segregation into labour camps was a constant fight to survive for her and her mother, her father's face hung in her every childhood dream. The war took away her childhood and put her into a life beyond her comprehension forcing her to quickly mature.
While these memories are hazy they do haunt her, shaping her and infuriating her.
As the war came to a resolution freedom embraced her and her mother like a long lost stranger. They found themselves looking for her father and to restart their lives and when they found him joy and relief swelled up in both females leading to the burning rage subsiding for a while.
Soon in this bubble of relief Tauriel found herself staring at her baby brother and sister, twins born when she was 11. A year later she was holding another younger sister; 3 shinning lights in a sea of dark childhood memories.
Once she was old enough her mother took up the responsibility of training Tauriel. She made it her mission to give Tauriel everything she could, teaching her to defend herself. Time breezed by as Tauriel found herself enthralled by her training. She learned about her heritage, her aura and dust. Her mother taught Tauriel everything she could and then began to prepare her for attending Shadow academy.
Tauriel's mother was deeply concerned by her daughters wild, reckless and angry heart. She dedicated the last few weeks with her daughter preparing her mentally for the academy and trying to teach her to control her emotions and her wild nature.
While the techniques her mother taught her served her well during her time at Shadow it only took one small thing to set Tauriel off. One day she witnessed a bully picking on a fellow student and her deep set anger exploded outwards leading to a ferocious fight between the two students.
Tauriel was severely reprimanded for her rash actions but in the long run it did not effect her studies and she still left the academy with high grades but the techniques her mother taught her were long forgotten.
Tauriel now had a life defining choice before her, the choice that would shape her into the woman she is today though she honestly did not know it at the time. She had to choose which senior academy she would apply for. Her mother urged her to leave Vacuo and go to Beacon, to explore and find someone who could help her find balance.
Tauriel in the end chose to stay in Vacuo and attend Shade, she was determined to use her emotions, to draw on them for strength and prove to her mother that she could control them without help. Little did she know her choice based on childish defiance to attend Shade would set her on a path to finding a second family and then walking the world alone...
When she joined the academy she was sorted into Team AQUA where she found herself learning and fighting beside a bizarre mix of people. The one who drew her attention the most was the mysterious boy named Yoru.
Despite her individualistic and wild nature she found herself very attached to her team mates. She began to view them as family. She became attached and showed a far softer side of herself to her team; expressing her loyalty and compassion behind closed doors but still remaining reckless, unpredictable and wild to the outside world.
Tauriel and team AQUA grew to find success after success, garnering the respect of many hunters and huntresses and impressing their instructors. Not only did she find success in AQUA but she also showed herself to be a talented solo combatant with her unpredictable and wild nature making it hard to combat her.
Her time with AQUA was when she earned the nickname Sparrow (In part due to her feathers). She earned the nickname because of her vigilance and flighty fighting style. She quickly revealed on missions that not only was she a light sleeper but she had grown to be exceptionally receptive and vigilant in her sleep reacting to almost all changes in the environment and alerting her team swiftly and quietly.
Team AQUA quickly showed they had strong synergy and this kept on growing, it was during their second year that Tauriel revealed just how vigilant she was. They were on a mission to join a hunter on a routine seek and destroy mission tracking a particularly troublesome pack of Grimm.
During the mission they were caught behind a raging sandstorm, the sandstorm was hampering their progress towards the mission site (little did they know it was also masking the movement of Grimm) and they were forced to make camp. Two days they spent settled in the camp and one night Tauriel drifted off to sleep during her watch out of boredom.
Despite drifting off to sleep the Grimm woke her before they were even within 50 feet of the camp, a change in the wind tickled Tauriel's sense with the scent and sound of the Grimm and she awoke rapidly, ready to fight the moment she hit her feet. The reaction speed and her sense saved them from her mistakes (she admitted to the team she fell asleep) and on multiple occassions her sense and vigilance saved them from trouble both of her making and not.
For the most part AQUA made it through their academy years smoothly, Tauriel did not actively hide she was a Faunus but she did keep the feathers hidden amongst her hair (preferring to maintain her distinctive look without them). While she never told her team mates she was Faunus they knew, it wasn't exactly a secret.
Team AQUA became her second family.
Graduation was arguably the best day of her life, she felt proud to stand beside her team and become free to choose her own path. she chose to follow her team. She revelled in their success and the freedom to choose what missions they wanted to do, they were beholden to none but themselves and their vows.
This freedom how ever became a bittersweet pill to swallow when Yoru decided it was time to go his own way. Her family was separating, while she could of stayed with her other team mates the spell was broken for her and she let her emotions get the better of her. She could not swallow the bitter sweet taste and she fled to go her own way.
During her time alone Tauriel began to study obscure combat techniques inspired by Yoru's secrets. Her studies lead her to a tome about a technique named threading. The technique piqued her interest. She found herself studying it, embracing it and creating her gauntlets and sleeves threading them with green dust and then threading her cloak with yellow dust. She began to refine her dust techniques to compliment her already erratic and wild fighting style.
Her travels took her to Vale where she found herself taking any contract that would put her in great danger, seeking the thrill of death defying battles and showing no regard for her own well being. All she wanted was the freedom and the thrill.
All of these solo missions how ever created a lonely feeling in the pit of her stomach, a need to be around those she loves like her team and her siblings. This feeling lead her to begin searching for her team and then the events of the Vytal festival smashed through her plans like a freight train.
Vale was thrown into turmoil and it fell upon the shoulders of the hunters and huntresses to work on stabilising the ruins of a kingdom. They fought long and hard against the Grimm, stemming the tide and pushing it back to free the kingdom from the clutches of darkness.
All this work took it's toll on Tauriel, already tired from being alone she found herself direly in need of rest and the kingdom's relative stability provided the perfect opportunity to not only rest but to try and find the other members of Team AQUA.

Birthplace: Atlas Age: 18 Sex & Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Haven, Second Year Physical Details:
Many people would call Amare a pretty boy, his long white hair falls down on either side of his particularly soft face. Strong silver eyes shine out from beneath light brows, he has a strong jawline and high cheekbones. On top of his soft, almost feminine, facial features Amare is lithely built with long legs, smaller than normal shoulders and light curves accentuating the feminine nature of his face.Personality:
More often than not Amare dresses down, lazily, favouring the easiest clothing to wear and maintain. Despite this, he often wears a relatively fancy shirt with a light waistcoat, slacks and a very long overcoat in rich purples and golds, he does, after all, have a flare for appearances.
The Rosea family are a long line of Atlesian Hunters who have always put pride and honour above all else, pushing their sons and daughters as high as they can possibly go. When Amare came into the world, the second child of the current family heir, his parents had high hopes for him believing he may become a hunter of great renown or even a specialist... this dream was quickly dispelled.
Even as a child Amare proved to be a lazy individual, favouring his books and his naps over the hard work of almost every Rosea before him. He quickly joined his aunt in becoming one of the family's black sheep, pushed into the life their family expected them to live but given no real support. Amare's mother still loved him though, she would oft spend nights sitting in their gardens reading with her son and showing him that not all members of the family valued reputation above all else. That some just wanted their blood to be happy.
When the time came to choose his path in life Amare looked to his mother and aunt who both supported him telling him he could do whatever he wanted, they would still be proud of him and so Amare chose to become a hunter. To spite his father however he chose to go and study in Mistral, tapping into the family's resources in order to satisfy his whims. His father was furious, beyond furious in fact that one of his sons would so blatantly disregard the will of his kin. Amare's mother and aunt however quickly silenced his protests and gave Amare the support he needed to follow his own path.
His time at Sanctum was relatively uneventful, the most notable thing about his time at Sanctum has to be the fact that most of the girls in his year and the year above fell for him, finding his particular brand of lazy and non-commital charm to be... infuriatingly desireable. When he actually put in some effort Amare also proved to be a particularly talented swordsman with a solid grasp of aura control and the martial arts. His love for reading also meant he had a decent grasp of Grimm, understanding most of the documented types.
The Vytal festival and the aftermath shook Amare to the core, for the first time in his relatively short life the world was truly showing just how dark of a place it was. He watched as the world unravelled into chaos and communication broke down, he saw the same footage everyone else saw and it made him sick to his stomach... yet it did little to motivate him further. He continued his career as a student Huntsman the same way it started when he went to Haven, lazily enjoying the freedoms given to him and indulging in any and every book, nap and lounging spot he could find.
When the Faunus Rights Anniversary came around he quite frankly did not care, Amare has never and will never hate Faunus but he doesn't really care about their celebrations... except the drunk, giddy Faunus girls who were busy celebrating. Amare proudly took advantage of that, looking for the quietest girls and indulging in drinks and wooing them not for his own amusement but to fill the emotional void of being so far from his loved ones, instead filling it with passionate, drunk nights. Amare continues to study, and lead his team, lazily preferring to indulge in his naps and his books. He has no idea about the power lurking behind the bright Silver eyes that draw so much attention, locked away and bubbling beneath the surface. Waiting to be freed...

Affiliation: Haven Academy. Character Page: Here Weapon:
Lethargy; Amare's chosen weapon is named Lethargy and it starts in the form of a beautiful silver cane with a gemstone mounted in the handle, the grip itself is inlaid with golden scrollwork and a trigger. Within the body of the cane itself is a long tube and a dust cartridge loaded with both red and yellow dust. Around the trigger, there is an intricate ring with runes carved in for the two dust types which he uses to select the round he wished to fire when the trigger is depressed the shot is fired from the ground end of the cane with exceptional precision. If the trigger is pushed the other way the cane splits in two, sections opening up to reveal two long, thin curved blades attached to long thin chains making Heavens Talons into a pair of 7 foot long whips.Semblance:
When in whip form Lethargy's individual segments each have a trigger unit that can be used to extend and retract the chains for additional combat flexibility but dust bullets cannot be fired from the split handles, instead the dust is used to charge the edges of the blades with the individual elements through the split dust tubes.
Tank Up; Amare's semblance increases his muscle density significantly, in practice this means that not only does Amare get significantly heavier but he also becomes faster and stronger. Once activated his semblance gradually increases the density of his muscles, and his weight, over time until he reaches critical mass. Once he reaches critical mass he is almost twice as strong as normal and fast while being almost twice the weight. Unfortunately, this point of critical mass only lasts for a very short period (1 posts) before it begins to decay again at the same speed it increased (3 posts). This semblance makes him an exceptionally dangerous foe to attack head on because he becomes tougher, faster and stronger for a short period of time but once it wears off he is vulnerable and exhausted for a short period (1 post) while he recovers from the rapid changes to his body.

Birthplace: Atlas Age: 26 Sex & Gender: Male Race: Human Affiliation: Atlesian Specialist/Graduated Huntsman Physical Details:
Like many veteran huntsman Nero is an imposing man, standing at almost 6'4" he is a muscular individual with hundreds of scars on his body. The most noticeable thing about Nero, however, would be the thickly armoured, purple and silver cybernetic left arm that reaches all the way up to his shoulder. Nero is an impressive man, handsome with piercing blue eyes and stark white hair. A long, jagged scar cuts down through his left eye and a set of three claw scars adorn his thickly muscled neck.Personality:
More often than not Nero can be seen wearing a precisely kept uniform or his family's own personal colours as the Unsterblich wear a prim, well kept long overcoat in white, purple and gold. Beneath that they almost always wear a white and purple waist coat as well.
The Unsterblich is a wealthy and quietly influential family within the kingdom of Atlas and before it Mantle, they have a proud history of service as Huntsman protecting the kingdom from the threat of Grimm. When Nero and his twin sister were born their fate was practically decided, they would like every Unsterblich before them, serve their country and the world of Remnant with distinction if they wished to bear the family name. They wanted for nothing growing up, their family pooled their resources to give the twins the best tutors and instructors possible from the moment they could walk.
Nero and his sister both proved to be intelligent individuals, quickly learning everything their tutors had to teach them, be it fighting techniques, history or even mathematics. Nero, in particular, showed a talent for combat where his sister showed she was a far superior academic and so the twins focused on their own strengths and pursuits. Nero took more and more time training, pushing his body even before joining Helios Academy. When he and his sister joined the academy not only did they have a leg up on most of their fellow pupils from the training regime but they also had some limited combat experience from their tutors.
Nero was at the top of his class all the way through Helios for combat and near the top for his academic studies, his sister proved to be the mirror image dominating all of their academic studies and merely excelling in combat training. This trend continued right up until his last day in the junior academy and so when the twins moved up to the senior academy, Atlas, a lot of eyes were on them looking to see if they could continue this streak. Nero and his twin were assigned to separate teams, his sister was assigned to lead her team and Nero was assigned to just be a part of his.
He gelled quickly with his team, proving to be a reliable teammate who followed orders. They became close as a team, getting to know each other extremely well and learning from each other. Nero pushed himself hard, aiming to be the best possible Huntsman and hoping to be chosen for other tasks as well, perhaps even becoming a specialist, taking every opportunity to earn more credit with his instructors.
After leaving the academy Nero served with distinction, he and his team found a constant stream of success with their missions. Tragedy struck however after their first year of being graduate huntsmen when one of their team fell beneath a tide of Grimm and despite their best efforts to save Lily they could not, she perished. Nero and Iris were not only combat partners but on and off lovers, they'd grown close during their time at the academy and this turn of events left Nero devastated and hollow, even his sister could not console him and his fury drove him to part ways with his team and pursue mission after mission alone, non-stop and taking no breaks. After six months of driving himself relentless Nero's grief finally subsided, he still felt hollow but he finally began to show restraint again.
The next time Nero would see his sister and his team again would be during the events of the Vytal Festival, they witnessed the fall of Beacon together. Nero was assigned to be a part of Atlas' detail during the Vytal Festival to ensure the safety of those in attendance and to observe the event but when the fighting started Nero found himself in the thick of it beside his sister and teammates. They fought hard, constantly pushing to break through the Grimm and the fallen forces from Atlas but to no avail.
Nero was separated from his allies during one particularly vicious skirmish and when they found him it was in a pool of his own blood with his arm being crushed beneath the weight of a paladin. His sister and his team quickly scrambled to secure the area and withdraw, carrying him, to the nearest hold-out where they could get him the medical care he clearly needed. For almost a day the medics worked on him, amputating his left arm and working to stabilise him. Treating every wound they found to the best of their ability and then all they could do was hope until he could be returned to Atlas where he could receive the care he needed.
For his service in Beacon Nero was honoured and when he woke up he did so in a hospital. The scientists and doctors of Atlas had not only saved his life but they had a plan in mind for him, when he finally came to the first face he saw was his sister's and then his team all lounging around in his room. His sister quickly filled him in on everything that had come to pass and then told him the harsh truth, that he no longer had his primary arm but that they could get him a replacement, that he could return to his life in service to Atlas.
Nero's rehabilitation took a long time, he was fitted with a top of the line Schnee Dust Company cybernetic arm as soon as he was ready and began working to grow used to the limb. For the first time in his life, Nero was faced with a true physical challenge, one that he could not easily cast aside. He struggled to master his arm until finally one day it just clicked, after months and months of hard work Nero mastered his new limb. He found that the new limb was stronger, tough and faster than his own and as soon as he was cleared for duty he returned to the field, determined and stronger than ever before.
The events of the Vytal Festival had opened his eyes, made him even more determined to be the best Hunter he could be and his service during the fall of Beacon earned him a lot of favour with Atlas' command. His service following his return to the field earned him even more accolades and a position among the Specialists of Atlas, operating in the most dangerous environments and more often than not alone.
Nero continues to serve Atlas with honour and distinction, going wherever he is told and rooting out every threat he can find.
