Canus Fons is a reel of ½ inch chrome cable. There’s about 120 inches on the reel. The reel is placed on a steel cylinder that is attached to his backpack, leaving it to spin freely, and roll as he pulls from it. Since the nature of this weapon is so open ended, Nikolai has taken on several different fighting styles.
Paladin is a piece of metal he ripped off a downed Atlesian Paladin at the Battle of the Beacon. Most of the time it takes the form of a wrist guard, but when he needs some cover it expands, creating a Heater style shield.
Nikolai has the ability to manipulate, shape, and move metal. He can create almost anything, but can only manipulate chromium, and to a lesser extent, alloys and compounds containing chromium. There are a few restrictions though. He can only manipulate it within a 50 ft radius around him. He also can only manipulate what he has injected his aura into. Typically, that means he can only manipulate the metal on him, his armor and weapon. But if he takes some time, he can manipulate anything he can inject his aura into. This means he cannot manipulate an enemy’s weapons or armor, not only because his aura isn’t in them, but because theirs is, and he can’t overwrite that. There is also a weight limit. He could move a metal door slightly larger than himself, but couldn’t, say, move an entire elevator. He can also only manipulate five objects at once, but that number goes down the heavier the objects. Because his aura is inside the metal, he can sense where it is within a 100ft radius. That way he can go and collect it all after a battle, and eventually work it back into Canus Fons.
